The Hughes Executive satellite receiver is a great receiver for someone that has a channel laden programming package. It has a two hundred and fifty channel capacity and that is more than enough to handle any one of DirecTV’s programming packages, including their Total Choice Premier package that comes with every channel that they have, with the exception of their two exclusive sports programming channels NCAA Mega March Madness and NFL Sunday Ticket.

If you are still putting yourself through the daily problems and hassles caused by cable TV maybe it is time to look at your other options. I am sure that everyone who has ever owned a cable box and or cable service could make a list a mile long of problems they have had with cable. Not only is cable extremely limited in it’s own field (entertainment in general) there are countless other problems that many people have grown to accept as a standard. The first thing that the regular behind the times guy (or girl) needs to realize is that cable has become completely and totally obsolete. Now with satellite TV from DirecTV you will not even have to rush home from work to catch your favorite show (with the risk of missing it) anymore! How about dealing with a Video Cassette Recorder (also known as the VCR)? Who doesn’t have a long list of stories detailing the problems they have had with one of those old fashioned devices? Everyone knows how much trouble it is to try to set up their VCR to record a program later in the day. There really is no guarantee that it will record the show. How about simply recording on the wrong speed and ending up only getting the first half of the show. Boy that is really the most frustrating part, you were all hyped to see the new episode, and now you have to wait and hear about the ending from your friend who has TiVo and a Digital Video Recorder (also known as the DVR).

Of course it costs you nothing, because they give you the whole system absolutely free of charge when you sign up, including the satellite dish and receiver.
