Do I need a DirecTV B-Band Converter?

I just upgraded my DirecTV system to HD. I leased their ridiculous 9 receiver and have it installed in my living room. I have a standard def DVR in the bedroom and want to upgrade it as well, so I ordered a HD receiver off of eBay for cheap. It didn’t come with b-band converters as the web sites say it should. Do I need them? or are they something the HR20-100 needed at first but not longer since they now use a newer dish?

What do I need to know about the signal before I buy a TV Tuner card for my computer?
I only plan to watch, but recording and DVR sound nice.
Anyways, what do I need to know about the signal?
I already know that:
"The signal is digital, provided by Comcast. The room has one digital converter box to provide basic cable to the room."
Is that enough to know which card to buy?
